It's been years, oh my dog, where have they gone, since I've been here. This is the best deli in Maple Glen and probably the only one too. ;-) Did a take out order last night. When I called it in I was told 20 minutes, I got there in 19, the order was ready, the employees were extremely polite and attentive. In and out in 45 seconds tops. Hoagies are deliciously stuffed, with those really nice paper thin sliced onions. The salads were a great size, and I thought prices were reasonable. But the french fries in a nice oil proof little bag were off the charts fantastic. Can you imagine smelling hot crisp fries while driving home, and lo and behold they are sitting right next to you as the most loveliest thing you've had in your passenger seat in a long time. My hands couldn't hold back, the bag o' fries was attacked. YUM Cole slaw was delish too. Two weak points though. The hoagie rolls, even though a wonderful size, was a little too soft on the outside, not that nice crisp roll crust you get in an exceptional Philly deli. And the hot peppers I requested ended up being those weak yellow banana peppers. Memo to the store: hot cherry peppers, please. Thank you

This place is great, but just a heads up, they recently significantly increased their prices. I was very surprised how much my salad was today and sure enough, when I compared the new and old menus they raised prices across the board by about $1.50. Pretty significant on a salad that was already $9. The place was already pricey before but the premium ingredients made it worth it. Some of my favorites are the southwest chicken salad, buffalo chicken quesadillas and the sweet potato waffle fries. Really great food overall. Didn't care for their chicken salad though, it's much better at Silvios in my opinion. Sadly I don't think I'll be able to go here as much (or maybe at all) with the recent price increases. I mean it's great food, but the value is just not there.

Good sandwich. First time here and the staff is extremely friendly. Cornbeef was sliced perfectly in my Reuben. Ratio of meat, dressing, bread - all perfect. I look forward to coming back to try their other items! It's a deli, so don't expect to eat in. There is no seating area.

Sandwiches are o.k. and pretty big. Staff isn't very friendly (see: deli counter order person, and also cashier). They have a "minimum amount" charge to use a credit card of $10 which I find very annoying. If that is the case, then they should have an ATM which does not charge a fee (like all Wawa's have) so people can grab cash quick and pay that way, but they do not, and there is no sign on the door (to my knowledge) saying $10 minimum.

Watch out for the worst customer service ever! Although I've always enjoyed lunch from In the Bag, a recent experience with their catering dept just soured me on the entire place of business. We were mourning the loss of a family member, and co-workers ordered a dessert tray for us. The arrangements I made were to have it delivered between 2-3, but for them to call when they were on their way. They called at 1:20, and no one was here to answer. When my husband called close to 3 to see where they were, the catering dept had the nerve to yell at him and ask why he didn't check the voice mail. He had just lost his father and was expecting a call from 2-3, not 40 minutes earlier. Yell at him? Seriously? She even laughed and was so rude, I will no longer use them for a party in April I was planning for 70 people. They should be ashamed at how they treat customers, especially those in mourning.

These guys are lifesavers! I needed to feed my bosses and clients at a lunch meeting at 11:30 nearby. I called them at 10:45 and spoke to David. With not even an hour to make and deliver lunch, and with 2 already busy delivery guys, he made it happen. The bosses were happy, and I looked like a rock star, especially since I got them lunch while sitting in my office in NYC. Thank you guys so very much!!

I've been there 2x. Both times were not good. First time I went was on a Holiday. We called, they said they were open. We were very happy. We got there and they were not using the grill, the fryer, only cold food. Ok, not too bad. But you could have told me that when I called. Second time I went, I just got a cold hoagie. After I got over the fact that the person slicing the meat for my hoagie had just cleaned his face off w/ a towel and did not wash his hands before he "prepped" my meat. I will say for the price and the size (too big for one person) - it would be worth the money. However the hoagie was terrible. The meat was the texture of meat that had sat unwrapped in a deli case for dayssssss. So disappointing.

I just moved to the area. We were having a party for my girlfriends daughter/house warming party. We went to the counter asked for catering, a woman came out who could not be any more friendly and knowledgable. We placed our order and scheduled to pick it up Saturday at 3. I arrive to pick up the food, a young man from behind the counter asked if I needed help, gave him my name, he husseled to the back got my hoagie tray, hot roast beef, rolls, sides, 3 bags of ice. The young man brought the food to my car, loaded it and was extremely friendly as was the cashier. It is refreshing to visit an establishment who hires teenagers that are hard working, friendly and care about customer service. The food was very good as my 25 guest ate 90% of the food. The portions were nice, manageable size. I will definitely use In the Bag for my next party. Thank you for the great service and making my first party in my new house a great one! Chay.

In The Bag knows how to make a sandwich. A real sandwich complete with a pickle (you don't even have to ask). They know how to do Jewish. The food is delicious and the staff are awesome! They get to know people and make you feel at home as soon as you walk through the door. Don't forget cash, no credit accepted. Their deli trays are slammin! They've catered multiple lunches for me and never skimp on the size or quality. Worth every penny.

I should be Jewish, cause boy do I appreciate a good Jewish Deli. And this place is good. They have a great selection of fresh meats/cheeses/fish for sandwiches and party trays. Lots of good sides too. A good healthy alternative to fast food. And great service too!

Okay I live right next to Skokie, IL and for those of you who do not know this is a very dense Jewish neighborhood of Chicago. So Jewish Deli's are something I frequent and really love. But, I will fully admit In the Bag totally blows away every deli here in Chicago. I was in Willow Grove for training and was so lucky to get introduced to this place. I will tell you this much when I come back I will totally hit this place up as the food was awesome as was the price. So next time you are around totally go and get a sandwich, you will thank me!!!
